It was another beautiful sunny day, and we decided to hit the road right after breakfast.
We drove up to Little River, SC - a town that we've driven through several times but never stopped to see why they called it Little River.
We did find a small "restaurant row" where you could see the river (actually the Intercoastal waterway) but a lot of the waterfront is privately owned.
We drove up to Calabash and had lunch at Ella's (Tommie & Neesie had eaten there the day we went to Tom Yawkey Wildlife refuge) and it didn't disappoint (great shrimp sandwiches).
We then drove up to Sunset Beach in Calabash and it was gorgeous.
On our way back down Highway 179 we stopped in Vereen Gardens in Little River and finally got some nice views of the "Little River" (Intercoastal waterway).
That night we had reservations at the Culinary Instititute of Myrtle beach. The meal consisted of 6 courses of some very interesting student creations.
All in all, this was one of our funnest days at Myrtle Beach.
