Myrtle Beach 2017 Day 23 Friday
Angie & I took a road trip to Raleigh today. She said she'd drive, but she doesn't like driving on crowded interstates. So a three and a half hour drive took all afternoon. But it was a relaxing, scenic drive.
We stopped in Smithfield because we knew of a barbecue joint there. What we didn't know was that Ava Gardner was born there, and we stopped in a museum dedicated to her.
It was actually an interesting stop. We then drove on to Raleigh and got to our hotel shortly after check in time.
We went out for a quick dinner at (where else?) the K&W at Cameron Village. We drove around Raleigh a little bit and then called it a night. We have plans to visit our friends in Raleigh this weekend, and to watch two NC State games.
